Test Platform

We downloaded, installed, and tested DVD Next Copy Professional Edition to run on two test computers. One computer was "Home-Brewed" with an Athlon AMD 64 X2 4800 Dual-Core processor running at 2.4GHz, 1GB of memory, 100GB hard drive, and a Sony DRU-510A DVD/RW drive 32X (CD) and 12X (DVD). The other computer, a Gateway E06500D, with an Intel Pentium(R) running at 3GHz, 1GB of memory, 100GB hard drive, and a Plextor PX-708A DVD/RW drive (40X (CD) and 12X (DVD).

Installation & Test Results

The installation was flawless on both test computers. The original DVD movie was "GroundHog Day" (1993) starring Bill Murray. The movie runtime was 101 minutes. Upon inserting the original DVD movie and pressing the "New" button, DVD Next Copy Professional Edition automatically detected the DVD. Twenty-Five minutes lapsed until we were prompted to insert blank DVD media. The DVD movie burning process was less than 11 minutes. We then inserted the copied DVD movie in our DVD player and the copy quality was that of the original to include all of the extras and menus options we selected. The same process was perform on our second test computer and it took 27 minutes to copy the movie and approximately 11 minutes to burn the movie to DVD.

Pros

We really like DVD Next Copy Professional Edition for many reasons. The user interface was easy to navigate and use. The software ran without a hitch. The feature set included everything one would need for customizing the final DVD Copy product. The software application is a small file but power-packed. The software is truly 1Click technology.

Cons

Possible use of a third-party decryption tool. If needed, DVD Next Copy Professional Edition will provide the link to download free.

The final copy was an exact replica of the original.

We contacted DVD Next Copy Professional Edition during normal working hours by email and they responded within minutes. Their website has an excellent customer support system in place as well as an excellent forum. The software has built-in tutorials as well as links to contact the company in case you have problems.

If you are looking for a DVD Movie Copy software application that runs well and does as advertised, if you want a DVD Movie Burning software application that is powerful, fast, and easy to use, then DVD Next Copy Professional Edition should be considered. Additionally, you can convert a DVD movie to AVI, MPEG, and Super Video CD (SVCD). It was really a "Plug 'n Play" program. Using the "Movie Only" option, you simply insert your original DVD and click start. You also have plenty of features that give you total control over what want want included or excluded on your copied DVD. DVD Next Copy Professional Edition supports both DVD-5 and DVD-9 discs. DVD Next Copy Professional Edition is also Vista compatible. So if you are looking for a fast and powerful DVD movie copy program that produces exact replicas of your DVD movies, then we recommend DVD Next Copy Professional Edition.
